• Born in Caracas, Venezuela; Living in Dominica since 2009

• 1995 Master of Fine Arts , San Francisco Art Institute in the United States

Vivas is a video and performance artist questioning clichés about identity and the structure of power in relationships. Vivas works with multiple medias: including drawing, painting, video, live performances and most recently documentary film and animation. In 2017 Cat 5 Hurricane Maria nearly killed her and her family, since, Vivas relationship with climate change became personal and she is currently working in an animated documentary about it.
